216 State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I do hereby Certify that a certain Negro Woman named Celia who calls herself Celia Anderson now about thirty five Years of age Complexion rather light four feet and ten Inches high and has a scar on the back part of each Sholder Was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain Elizabeth Maxwell dated on the Seventh day of January 1831 and admitted to probat in my office on the 19th day of February 1831 her person Identified by the evidence of a certain Charles A Gibson In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal (Seal) of my office this 6th day of January 1844 Lem.l Roberts Reg Wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I hereby Certify that a certain negro man named Oliver now about twenty five Years of age light complexion five feet nine and a quarter Inches high has a scar on his left temple and three others in his forehead also three scars on his left thigh and one on his right side was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain William Carman dated on the 10th day of August May 1827 and admitted to probat in my office on the 6th day of October 1827 his freedom to commence 10th day of May 1843 his person Identified by the evidence of a Certain Andrew Johnson In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the Seal of my (Seal) office this 30th day of January 1844 Lem.l Roberts Reg Wills for Queen Anns County |
