214 State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I do hereby certify that a certain negro Woman named Juliet aged about forty Seven Years five feet three and a quarter inches high of a light complexion and is without any particular mark or scar Was manumitted and set free by a codicil to the last will and Testament of a certain Alfred Jones dated on the 15th day of February 1831 and admitted to probat in my office on the 18th day of April 1831 her freedom to commence at the death of his wife (Now deceased) her person Identified by the evidence of a certain Robert S Bryan In Testimony whereof I have hereunto (Seal) Set my name and affixed the Seal of my office this 31st day of October 1843 Lem.l Roberts Reg Wills State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I do hereby Certify that a certain negro man named Joseph who calls himself Joseph Ringgold now about forty three Years of age Complexion light five feet and three quarters of an inch high and has had each little toe cut off Was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain Benj.a B Tolson dated on the 5th day of November 1840 and admitted to probat in my office on the 10th day of July 1840 his person Identified by the oath of a certain Thomas K Griffin In Testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my name and affixed the Seal of my office this 22nd day of November 1843 Leml Roberts Reg Wills for Queen Anns County |
