204 I hereby certify that a certain Negro man named Jacob aged about 27 years of age five feet five Inches & a half high of a light complexion has a scar on his breast was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament and Inventory of a certain William Hemsley duly executed on the 17.th day of May 1821 and admitted to probat in my office November 25.th 1825 his freedom to commence on the 17.th day of December 1840 his person identified by the evidence of a certain Tho C Earle Reg Wills In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my (seal) name and the seal of my Office affixed this sixth day of January Anno Domini 1842 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Alsy aged about 46 Years five feet two Inches High of light complexion was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain John Whittington duly executed on the 27.th day of February 1795 and admitted to probat August 11.th 1795 her person being identified by the Oath of a certain Edward B Price In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my (seal) name and the seal of my Office affixed this 21.st day of January Anno Domini 1842 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland I hereby certify that a certain negro man named William Roe aged about Thirty five years five feet 10 Inches high dark complexion and rather spare spare has a scar on his left eye and one on his head was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain James Duhamel dated on the twentieth day of August One Thousand Eight hundred |
