202 In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set [seal] my name and affixed the seal of my Office this 4.th day of February 1841 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I do hereby certify that a certain negro man named William Cook aged about twenty three years of a black Complexion five feet four and a half Inches in height a scar on his right wrist has a full mouth of teeth was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Solomon Hotton late of Queen Anns County deceased duly executed on the 21.st February 1793 leaving the Grand Mother of said negro man William free at the death of his woman and all her increase and the increase of her daughters admitted to probat in my Office the 18.th day of November 1795 his freedom to commence at the time of his birth being born after the death of his mistress and his person being identified by the evidence of a certain Samuel Kirby In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal of my Office this 15.th day of April 1841 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Q A County Maryland Queen Anns County ss I hereby certify that a certain Negro man named Wells aged 26 years five feet 4½ Inches high very black has a scar on his Nose and one on his left Wrist was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Frances Emory dated on the 30 March 1822 and admitted to probat in my Office on the 24 September 1822 and his freedom to commence on the 4 may 1840 his person being identified by the evidence of William C. Bewley In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and (seal) affixed the seal of my Office this 15.th day of April 1841 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Q A County |
