200 Maryland Queen Anns County ss I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Eliza aged about 44 years of a Dark Complexion is five feet 5 Inches high ha no particular marks was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of W.m Downes late of said County dec.d duly executed on the 2 April 1839 and admitted to probat in my office on the 30 April 1839 and her freedom to take place on the 30 April 1839 and her person being identified by the evidence of a certain James Start In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name [Seal] and affixed the seal of my office this 6 day of May 1840 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County ss I hereby certify that a certain negro man named Charles aged twenty Eight years of a dark copper Color has a full set of teeth has no particular marks is 5 feet 9 Inches high was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Elizabeth Herrington late of said County dec.d duly executed on the 11 day of June 1820 and admitted to Probat in my office on the 7 May 1822 and his freedom to commence from the 11 day of June 1840 and his person being identified by a certain John Dyott In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and affixed the seal of my office this [seal] 7 day of July 1840 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County ss I do hereby certify that a certain negro woman called and Known by the name of Anne (Alias) Bennett aged thirty seven years is four feet eleven inches high of a Dark complexion has a small scar on her left side of her neck has several teeth out was manumitted and set free by the last Will |
