199 Maryland Queen Anns County ss I do hereby certify that a certain negro man called and Known by the name of Benjamin Harris aged twenty one years on the 2.d day of June of the present year is five feet 7 Inches high of a Copper Colour has a small scar on his right wrist a full set of teeth free born and was Indentured to a certain George Palmer to serve until he arrives at the age of twenty one years but long since his master departed this life and he became the apprentice of his widow and on the 29 day of Feby 1840 she departed this life and in accordance with the laws of the state of Maryland he is entitled to his freedom at the death of his said mistress his person being identified by the evidence of a certain George C Palmer In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name (seal) and affixed the seal of my office this 23 day of March 1840 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County ss I do hereby certify that a negro woman named Maria aged about 45 years five feet high of a bright mulatto has a full set of teeth and has a scar on her right breast was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of Priscilla Willmer duly executed on the 23.d March 1813 and admitted to probat in my office on the 28 May 1814 her freedom to commence on the 28 may 1814 and her person being identified by the evidence of a certain Pere Wilmer In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name [Seal] and affixed the seal of my office this 21 day of April 1840 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Q A County |
