186 Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain Negro man named James Roe aged about twenty two years five feet 6¾ inches high of Brown Complexion slender built has a small scar on his left cheek and one of his right leg and is the son of negro woman Lydia Roe and was born free and his person & evidence of freedom having been identified by the Oath of a certain Julia Duhamel In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name [seal] and affixed the seal of my office this this 6 day of Oct.r 1837 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I certify that a certain negro woman named Eliza now about 31 years of age five five 6¼ inches high of a Dark Complexion was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Margaret Walker late of said County dec.d duly executed on the 20 Oct.r 1831 and admitted to Probat in my office on the 1.st March 1832 and her freedom to commence on 25 Dec.r 1832 he person being identified by the Oath of a certain W.m O Lowery Witness my hand and the seal of my [seal] office this 11 day of Oct.r 1837 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Henny age about 40 years five feet 2¾ inches high of a Dark complexion has a scar on her right cheek and one of her right arm was manumitted & set free by the last will and testament of a certain W.m Bryan late of Queen Anns County dec.d duly executed on the 30 august 1830 and admitted to Probat in my office on |
