State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
       I hereby certify that a certain negro Woman named Hester
or otherwise called Hester Baxter now about forty five years of
age four feet and eleven inches high Dark Complexion a
slight scar on her left arm and also one on her right arm
occasioned by a burn bad set of teeth was manumitted and
set free by the last Will and Testament of Vinson Baxter duly
executed on the 13 day of July Eighteen Hundred & thirty One
and proved in my office on the 5.th day of September 1831 her
person was identified by the Oath of William Hopper
                      Given under my hand and the seal of my
       [seal]      office this 18.th day of August 1836

                                                          for Queen Anns County


                      State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit
        I hereby certify to all persons to whom it doth concern
that a certain Negro woman named Hannah Doram aged
about forty two years of Dark Complexion stout made has
a wen on her right breast and has a scar on her left Legg
and is five feet 6¾ Inches high and was set free by the
last Will and Testament of a Certain Philemon late of Queen
Anns County dec.d duly Executed on the 28 Nov.r 1831 and
admitted to probat in this office on the 12 Dec.r 1831 her
freedom to commence on the 1.st January 1832 and her
person being identified by the Oath of a certain Rich.d
