175 Queen Anns County to wit I certify that certain Negro Boy by the name George aged about twenty nine years a dark mulatto five feet four inches high and has a large scar on his right cheek occasioned by a gathering was manumitted and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain Sarah B Smyth dec.d Executed on the 5.th day of February 1726 and filed in this office on the 15.th April 1826 his freedom to commence on the 1st January 1834 and his person being Identified by the Oath of a certain Ja.s W Harris Given under my hand (seal) and the seal of my office this 12 day of June 1836 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I Certify that a certain negro woman named Ann now about twenty nine years of age five feet 6 inches hight yellow complexion a slight scar on ^the back of^ her right hand and also a scar on the left arm and bab teeth was manumitted and set free free by the last Will and Testament of John Earickson duly Executed on the 2.d day of January eighteen hundred and nineteen and proved in my office on third day of May 1821 her person was identified by the Oath of Tho.s Skinner Given under my hand & the seal of my [seal] office this 28.th day of Dec.r 1835 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Q.
