170 Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Q Anns County State of Maryland Q Anns county to wit I hereby Certify that a certain negro man named Frisby who calls himself (Thisby Bently) now about 37 years of age 5 feet 6½ Inches high yellow complexion slender built a large scar on his left elbow was manumitted & set free by the last will & testament of a certain Eze.l Forman duly executed on the 5 Feby 1822 and admitted to Prob in my office on the 24 april 1823. his freedom to commence on & from the 1.st Jany 1833 and his person having been identified by the of General Tho Emory In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name (seal) and affixed the seal of my office this 13 day of Aug Eighteen hundred & thirty five Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Q Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Nan or (Ann) now about 38 years of age 4 feet 11¾ inches high Black Complexion and has lost several of her upper teeth was manumitted & set free by the last will & Testament of a certain John May duly executed on the 16 may 1821 and recorded in my office on the 13 ap.l 1822 her freedom to commence on the 1st Jany 1830 and her person having been identified by the Oath of a certain W.m May In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name and (seal) affixed the seal of my office this 18.th day of August Eighteen hundred & thirty five Tho C Earle Reg Wills for Queen Anns County |
