159 I do hereby certify that a certain negro man named Abraham who calls himself Abraham Gibbs now about thirty three years of age five feet nine and five eights inches in height has a scar on the right foot about two inches in length also a scar on the small finger of his left hand about an inch long & dark complexion was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of a certain Joel Smith duly executed on the 29.th day of July 1820 and proved in my office on the 15.th day of August 1820 His freedom to commence in ten years from the death of the ^Testator^ His person identified by the Oath of a certain John V Woodall Given under my hand and the [Seal] Seal of my office this 11.th day of June Anno Domini 1833 Tho C Earle Rgr Wills for Queen Anns County I hereby certify that a certain ^mulatto^ negro woman named Susan or Sukey five feet two inches high has a scar on the right arm just below the elbow between thirty and forty years of age broad flat nose has lost one of her upper front teeth rather broad face Was manumitted and set free by the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Maxwell duly executed on the 7.th day of January 1831 and proved in my office on the 19.th February in the same year Her freedom to commence in two years from the death of the Testatrix Her person identified by the Oath of a certain John A Sangston Given under my hand and the seal of my office this 18.th day of June [seal] 1833 Tho C Earle Rgr Wills for Queen Anns County |
