152 my office this 29 day of may Anno Domini 1832 Tho C Earle Regr Wills [seal] for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Serba now about forty five years of age complexion black five feet one inch and three quarters in height the nail of the third finger of her right ^hand^ a little injured a scar on her left arm just below the elbow & a small round scar on her right arm above the elbow was manumitted and set free by the last will and testament of a certain Jacob Crewson proved in my office on the 15 day of December 1810 Her Freedom to commence as soon as the profits of her labour shall amount to the sum of sixty pounds current money Her person identified by the Oath of a certain Sarah Downes widow of the late Hawkins Downes deceased who satisfied the Register that the conditions had been complied with Given under my hand & the seal of my office this 29 day of May [Seal{ Anno Domini 1832 Tho C Earle Regr Wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit I hereby certify that a certain negro woman named Maria now about forty one years of age five feet three inches & a half in heigth complexion not very dark a very small scar on the upper part of her chin a scar between the first & second joint of the fore finger of her left hand a mild countenance & good teeth was manumitted and set free by the last will & Testament of a certain Daniel Weedon duly executed on the 29 day of October and proved on the 29 day of November 1797 by that clause of his will |
