150 aged about 39 years five feet 4½ inches in height complexion ^not^ very dark stout built a large scar on his under lip also a scar on his left wrist and pretty good teeth was manumitted and set free by the last will and testament of a certain James Kent duly executed on the 29 day of May 1802 and proved in my office on the 14th day of August 1805 his freedom to commence on the 1.st day of January 1821. His person identified by the Oath of a certain Henry Story Given under my hand and the seal of my office [Seal} this 21.st day of May Anno Domini 1832 Tho C Earle Regr Wills for Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County to wit I hereby certify that a certain woman named Ellen now about thirty one years of age five feet four inches & one eighth in height light complexion a large scar on her left arm just above the elbow a small scar between the fore finger and thumb of her left hand and of a very slender and delicate form was manumitted and set free by the will of a certain James Kent duly executed on the 29 day of May 1802 and proved in my office on the 14 day of August 1805 Her freedom to commence on the 1st day of Jany 1826 Her person identified by the Oath of a certain Henry Story Given under my hand and the seal of my office this 26 day of May 1832 [seal] Tho C Earle Rr Wills for Queen Anns County |
