His person was identified by the Oath of a certain Benj.a Comegys who was a nephew and legatee of the Testator above mentioned Given under my hand and the seal of my Office this 21.st (Seal) day of August Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and twenty nine Tho C Earle Rr Wills Note The original for Queen Anns County certificate is on parchmt the seal impressed on rose paper & attached by a blue ribbon with pearl edge State of Maryland Queen ANns County To wit I hereby certify that a certain negro boy named Phill who calls himself Phil Baynard now about years of age complexion black of small stature a small scar on his right cheek also one just below the cap of his left knee has an impediment in his speech & is is a little deaf was manumitted and set free by the last will & Testamt of a certain James Baynard duly executed on the 30 day of Dec 1824 and proved in my Office on the 19 day of April 1826 His person was identified by the Oath of a certain James Roe one of the Executors of the said Jas Baynard Given under my hand and the [Seal] seal of my Office this 23d day of February Anno Domini 1830 Tho C Earle Rr Wills for Queen Anns County |
