State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
                      I hereby certify that a certain negro woman
named Henrietta now about twenty nine or thirty
years of age black complexion delicate form five feet
in heigth a long scar on the inside of her left arm near
the bend of the elbow also on the same arm and near about
the same places two black spots or scars which she states
was occasioned by a burn and has lost one of her uper fore
teeth was manumitted and set free by the last will and
Testamt of a certain Joshua Clannahan duly executed
on the 26th day of February and proved in my Office on the
2d day of March 1821   His freedom to commence when she
shall have attained the age of twenty eight years  By the
deceaseds Inventory returned on the 24 March 1821 it is
stated the aforesaid negro woman had then seven years to
serve.  Her person was identified by the Oath of a certain
William Skinner who is Guardian to Mary & Elizabeth
Clannahan children of the aforesaid Joshua Clannahan
dec.d                              Given under my hand and the
                (seal)              seal of my Office this 18th day of
NB                                 May Anno Domini 1829
    The foregoing certificate            Tho C Earle Rr Wills
is on parchmt seal impressed               for Queen Anns County
in rose paper & attached by a
blue ribbon

State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
                          I hereby certify that a certain negro
man named Francis who calls himself Francis
Thomas now about thirty years of age black complexion
stout and well made bushy head five feet 11½ Inches
in heigth a large scar just behind his right ear also a
scar on his under lip & good teeth   was manumitted
and set free by the last will and Testament of a certain
Elijah Comegys duly executed on the 29.th day of July
1808 and proved in my Office on the 22d day of June
1811   At the execution of the aforesaid will the said
negro Francis was said to be nine years old ^in april last^ and to
