13 Maryland ss I do hereby certify that by the last will and Testament of a certain John L Wilmer late of Queen Anns county deceased duly executed on the eighth day of September in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and ninety four and proved in my office on the 28.th day of October 1795 a certain negro man named Benjamin of a mulattoish complexion five feet eight and one half inch high about thirty six years of age has no scars of any consequence was manumitted and set free his freedom to commence on his ariving at the age of thirty four years and proved by the oath of a certain Thomas Barber to be the Identical person as mentioned in the said will
Maryland ss I do hereby certify all persons of whom it doth or may concern that by the last will and Testament of a certain Sarah Tillotson late of Queen Anns county deceased duly Executed on the tenth day of March in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and ninety five and proved in the office of Register of Wills for Queen Anns county on the first day of April seventeen hundred and ninety five "A certain negro Man named Wilks" of a Mulattoish complexion five feet eight inches and one half inch high about twenty four years of age hath a scar on the temple of right side of his head and on on the left Jaw bone and a very remarkable one on the right arm was manumitted and set free his freedom to commence on the first day of May in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and eight And proved by the oath of a certain Robert Emory Esq.r |
