State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
                Whereas application has been made to me by
a certain negro man named Dany who calls himself
Dany Wally aged about    years five feet 4½ Inches in
heigth complexion rather dark stout built a large scar on
his under lip also a scar on his left wrist and good teeth


State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
                Whereas application has been made to me
a certain negro man named Dany who calls himself
Dany Wally for a certificate of freedom under an Act
of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at Nov
Session 1805   I do therefore certify to all whom it doth
or may concern that a certain negro man named
Dany aged about   years five feet 4½ Inches in heigth
complexion rather ^not very^ dark stout built a large scar on
his under lip also a scar on his left wrist & pretty good
teeth was manumitted and set free by the last Will
and Testamt of a certain James Kent duly executed
on the 29 day of May 1802 and proved in my Office
on the 14 day of August 1805   His freedom to commence
on the 1.st day of January   His person identified by
the oath of a certain





State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit      No 12
                whereas application has been made to me by
a certain negro man named James for a certificate
of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland
passed at November Session 1805   I do therefore
certify to all persons whom it may concern that a certain
negro Boy named James now about thirty    years of
age dark complexion five feet nine inches in heigth his
person slender good countenance a scar rather on the inside
of the instep of the left foot also a scar nearly between the joints
