by the last Will and Testamt of a certain Susan Biscoe
duly executed on the 27.th day of January 1820 and proved
in my Office on the 3d day of October in the same year
    His freedom to commence after the 1.st day of January after
the deceased of the said Susan Biscoe   His person was
identified by the Oath of a certain Geo Biscoe   Given
                               under my hand and the seal of my
       [Seal]               Office this 14.th day of April anno Domini
                               1828

       The foregoing certificate is given on Parchment the impression
of the seal on rose paper & attached to the parchmt by a white
tape string

State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
             whereas application has been made to me
by a certain negro man named Robert who calls himself
Robert Balden for a certificate of freedom under an
Act of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at Nov
Session 1805   I do therefore certify to all persons whom
it doth or may concern that a certain negro man named
Robert now about 30 years of age 5 feet 4½ Inches in heigth
complexion black his person rather slender good countenance
teeth tolerably good a scar on his left thumb and a small
scar in a line between his right eye and ear and two scars
on his left shin was manumitted and set free by the last will
and Testamt of a certain Sarah Watson duly executed on the
27 day of January and proved in my Office on the 4 day of
April 1812.  His freedom to commence when he attains the
age of 29 years   He was identified by the Oath of a certain
Tho J Ruth who states he is a nephew of the aforesaid Sarah
Watson   Given under my hand and the seal of my
Office this 16 day of April Anno Domini 1825

       [Seal]                                             for Queen Anns County
                            The Inventory of the Estate of Sarah Watson
was retnd on the 9 June 1812   Robert and then stated by that Instrument
to be 15 years of age
