Browne one of the Heirs of the aforesaid John Browne ^decd^ Given under my hand and the Seal of my Office this 6.th day [Seal] of June Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and twenty seven Tho C Earle Rr Wills The original certificate is on parchment for Queen Anns county State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit N.o 2 Whereas application has been made to me by a certain mulatto woman named Sarah for a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session 1805 I do therefore certify to all whom it doth or may concern that by the last Will and Testamt of a certain Robert Gardner duly executed on the twenty ninth day of July and proved in my Office on the 30.th day of August in the year Eighteen hundred and twenty five a certain negro woman named Sarah a bright mulatto five feet four inches and three quarters in higth rather fat and has but three toes on her right foot was manumitted and set free Her freedom to commence at the decease of the said Robert Gardner Her person identified by the Oath of a certain Richard Gardner who is the Executor of the said Robert Gardner Given under my hand and the seal of my Office [Seal] this 20.th day of June Anno Domini Eighteen hundred & twenty seven Tho C Earle Rr Wills for Queen Anns County The original certificate is on parchmt |
