be free at that age and my negroes Hannabal and
Saul Betty and Nancy Cain & Hetty McDaniel and
all my other negroes not herein before bequeathed in
my possession or in the possession of my said Son in law
over the age of 28 years but under the age of 45 years at
my death it is my desire shall be free on the 1.st day
of January next following my decease "

State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit
                   whereas application has been made
to me by a certain negro man named Perry for
a certificate of freedom under an Act of the General
Assembly of Maryland passed at November Session
1805   I do therefore certify to all persons whom it
doth or may concern that by the last will & Testamt
of a certain Susan Sudler duly executed on the 17.th day
of October 1807 and proved in my Office on the 19.th
day of December in the same year a certain negro
man named Perry complexion black five feet six
Inches and a half in heigth his face very much marked
with the small pox has a large scar on the left side
of his right leg just below the knee   was manumitted
and set free   at the time of the execution of the
said will the said negro Perry was stated to be
eight years old his freedom to commence when
he shall have attained the age of twenty six
years      His person identified by the Oath of a
