102 will & Testament of a certain Philip Feddeman duly executed on the 18.th day of July in the year 1821 and proved in my Office on the 22d day of January 1822 a certain negro man named Hanibal of a dark complexion five feet one inch and a half in heigth a scar on his cheek near the lower part of his right Ear also two slight scars on his breast and a scar just above the cap of his left knee was manumited and set free His freedom to commence on the first day of Jany next after the decease of the said Philip Feddeman His person identified by the Oath of a certain Philip Henry Feddeman the Executor of the last will and Testamt of the said Philip Feddeman Given under my hand and the seal of my [Seal} Office this 27.th day of March Anno Domini 1826 Tho C Earle Rr Wills Queen Anns County State of Maryland Queen Anns County To wit whereas a certain negro man named Dowdall who calls himself Dowdall Thompson has made application to me for a certificate of freedom under an act of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at Nov Session 1805 I do therefore certify to all persons whom it doth or may concern that by the last will & Testamt of a certain William L Brown duly executed on the 1st day of April 1808 and proved in my office on the 14th day of June in the same year a certain negro man named Dowdall of a dark complexion 5 feet Six Inches & three fourths of an inch in heigth has lost the sight of his right eye a small scar on his left arm just above the wrist joint thin visage and bad teeth was manumitted and set free His freedom |
