10 Maryland ss I do hereby certify all whom it doth or may concern that by the last will and Testament of a certain George Washington Seth late of Queen Anns county deceased duly Executed on the thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and one and legally proved in my office on the 15.th day of July Anno Domini 1801 A certain negro woman named Easther who is the bearer hereof of a very dark complexion five feet three Inches high has a scar on the left cheek And is about forty three years of age was manumitted and set free her freedom to commence at the death of the testator and proved by the oath of a certain Rachel Seth to be the Identical person as mentioned by the Testator in his said will
