Harriet is five feet two and a quarter inches high of a
light complexion
    Filed and recorded on the 4 day of September 1854 and
certificate issued                          By James F Gordon clk


    To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County   This is
to certify that a negro girl called Harriet Bowser now
present and applying for a certificate of freedom is the
identical person who was manumitted by John Bowser (fn)
(her Father) by deed of manumission dated the seventh day
of August 1854 to be free from date of manumission

    Jos N Gordon Jr                     September 21st 1854
Harriet is four feet seven and a half inches high of a
light complexion
    Filed and recorded on the 21st day of September 1854 and

To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County
    This is to certify that Amanda Tilghman who is now
present and applying for a certificate of freedom was
born of a free woman and raised in Kent County and is
now about nineteen years of age

       Jos N Gordon jr                  September 21st 1854
Amanda is four feet eleven and a quarter inches high
of a light complexion
    Filed and recorded on the 21st day of September 1854

To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County
    This is to certify that negro Mary Jane Rigby who is now
present & applying for a certificate of freedom is the daughter
of Louisa who together with the said Mary Jane
was manumitted by Richard Frisby on the eleventh
August Eighteen hundred and twenty seven the said
Mary Jane to be free at 25 years of age   the said Mary
