    To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County  This
is to certify that Susan now called Susan Anderson now
present and applying for a certificate of freedom is the
identical negro woman named in a Manumission
executed by me on the twelfth day of April 1841 and is
now about thirty years of age

    Susan is four feet eleven inches high with a bone felon
on the fore finger of the left hand of a light complexion
    Filed and recorded on the 11 day of July 1854 and certificate

    To the clerk of of the Circuit Court for Kent County
I hereby certify that Maria Freeman who is now present
& applying for a certificate of freedom was free born and
raised in Kent County and is now about twenty five years of age
July 31 1854                                    Merritt Miller
Maria is five feet two and one half inches high brown
complexion
    Filed and recorded on the 31st day of July 1854 and
certificate issued                        By James F Gordon clk


    To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County   This
is to certify that a negro girl called Sarah Maria Bowser
now present and applying for a certificate of freedom is
the identical person who was manumitted by John Bowser
(fr) (her Father) by deed of manumission dated the seventh
day of August 1854 to be free from date of manumission and
is now about fifteen years of age

Sarah Maria is four feet eleven and quarter inches high light
complexion           Filed & recorded on the 7 day of August 1854
