    I hereby certify that James Ringgold the bearer hereof was
born of a free woman and raised in Kent County he was
bound as an apprentice to me and his time expired during
the present year      Witness my hand this 31st day of December
1853                                                   Wm Graves
    James Ringgold is five feet five and a half inches high
Filed and recorded on the 31st day of December 1853 & certificate

To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County   This is
to certify that Mary Elizabeth Warren who is now present & applying
for a certificate of freedom was free born and raised in
Kent County and is now about twenty five years of age

    Mary Elizbth is five feet four and three quarter inches high
dark complexion small scar on the thumb of the left hand

inches high with a scar on the thumb of the right hand
