and about eighteen years of age of brown complexion

To the clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County   This
is to certify that a negro man called John Holly now
present and applying for a certificate of freedom is a
free man and raised in Kent County and is about
twenty eight years of age

    John Holly is five feet seven and a half inches high
of a black complexion  
    Filed and recorded on the 22nd day of May 1854 and certificate

    This is to certify that Isaac Lusby now present & applying
for a certificate of freedom was born of a free woman
and raised in Kent County and is now about 23 years of age
May 25 1854                              Wm T Spry
    Isaac is five feet eight inches high black complexion &
has a scar near the thumb of right hand
Filed and recorded on the 25 day of May 1854 & certificate

    I certify that the bearer of this Levi Wright is the identical
man who belonged to my deceased sister Sarah R Hanson and
was manumitted by myself and my late sister Lavinia
