To the Clerk of Kent County Court
                                     I hereby certify that negro Henry Spencer who is
now present & applying for a certificate of Freedom was free born
and raised in Kent County   The said negro Henry is now about twenty
one years of age                                    William Kelly
    Dec 30th 1850
    Henry is about 5 feet 5 inches high   Light complexion a slight scar between
    the fore finger & the middle finger of the left hand   Jos Redue Clk
       Filed and recorded on the 30th day of December 1850 and a certificate
of freedom issued to the said negro man Henry Spencer

                            This is to Certify that Mary Ann Carter who is now present
& applying for a certificate of freedom was freeborn and raised in Kent
County and is now about Twenty years of age
    Jany 1st 1851                                                   Jas W. Phillips
    Mary Ann is five feet 3½ Inches high Light complexion & has a scar on
the middle finger of the right hand                                    J. Redue Clk
    Filed and recorded on the 1st day of January 1851 and a certificate
of freedom issued to the said Mary Ann Carter

       To the Clerk of Kent County Court
                               I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Matilda Hackett
a negro woman now present and applying for a certificate of Freedom
was free born and raised in Kent County      said Matilda Hackett
is now about twenty five years old is of a Black complexion & is
about five feet two and a half inches high      she has no notable scar
or mark visible                                             C. T. Lusby
                                                                   Jan 9th 1851

Filed and recorded on the 10th day of January 1851 and a certificate
of freedom issued to the said negro woman Matilda Hackett
