State of Maryland Kent County to wit
                                              I, Joseph Redue Clerk of
Kent County Court hereby certify that it hath been
proved by testimony which is satisfactory to me that
the bearer hereof a negro woman named Arianna
Bordley aged about thirty years five feet three
inches high of a dark Complexion was born
free and raised in Kent County
                                  In testimony whereof I hereto
    (    Seal of     )        subscribe my name and affix the
    (Kent County)        seal of Kent County Court this
    (Court Maryland)   seventeenth day of August in the
                                  year Eighteen hundred and forty nine
                                                    Joseph Redue Clerk of
                                                    Kent County Court
                                                       State of Maryland
Issued and recorded on the 17th of August 1849

To the Clerk of Kent County Court
                                           This is to certify that Ann Reed
the daughter of Araminta Butler the bearer hereof
was free born and was raised in Kent County
Maryland and is now about 22 years of age
                                                 Elisabeth Tilden

                                           August 21st 1849
Ann was born in 1826 November   Elisabeth Tilden

Filed and recorded August 21st 1849 and certificate of
freedom issued as follows
Maryland Kent County to wit
                                        I Joseph Redue Clerk of Kent County
Court hereby certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved by testimony which
is satisfactory to me that the bearer hereof a negro
woman named Ann Reed aged about twenty two
years about five feet two and three quarter inches
