36 To the Clk of Kent Cty Ct I hereby certify that Charles Wesley Jones who is now present & applying for a certificate of freedom was free born and raised in Kent County and is now about 24 years of age (His parents names were Amos Jones & Anne Jones both free born) Witness my hand this 6th June 1850 John Mansfield Charles is five feet 7½ inches high light complexion with a scar on his right Cheek Jos Redue Clk Filed and recorded on the 6th day of June 1850 and a certificate of freedom issued to the said negro Charles Wesley Jones By Jos Redue Clk Kt County Court Md To the Clk of Kent County Court I hereby certify that Samuel Elburn who is now present & applying for a certificate of freedom was free born (His Mothers name was Rachel Elburn) as witness my hand this 6th June 1850 John Mansfield Samuel if five feet 8½ Inches high dark Complexion & has a scar on the left hand occasioned by the cutting off the sixth finger Joseph Redue Clk Filed and recorded on the 6th day of June 1850 and a certificate of freedom issued to the said negro Samuel Elburn By Jos Redue Clk of Kent Co Court Md Chestertown Kent County Maryland To the Clerk of Kent County Court This is to certify that Marshall James Jones and Mary Jane Jones who are now present & applying for a certificate of freedom are the children of Amos & Ann Jones of Morgans Creek neck and were both free born and raised in this County Marshall is now about twenty two years of age And Mary Jane about eighteen years of age witness my hand this 11th day July 1850 John Mansfield Marshall is five feet six inches high light complexion is 22 yrs of age with a scar on the right arm below the elbow Mary Jane five feet high yellow complexion 18 yrs of age Jos Redue Clk Filed and recorded on the 11th day of June 1850 and certificates of freedom |
