issued to the said negro man James Moore

    To the Clerk of Kent County Court
                               This is to Certify that a negro man named
Wilson Woodland now present and applying for a certificate
of freedom is the identical negro man who was manumitted by
Francis Rutter by Deed of Manumission dated the 16th day of
April 1845 and recorded in Liber J. N. G. No 3 page 511 one
of the Record books of Kent County   In said Deed of Manumission
said negro man is named and mentioned by the name
of "Wilson" aged about twenty four years to be free on the
twenty fifth day of December Eighteen hundred and forty nine"
             said negro man is of a black complexion about five feet
six inches high and has no remarkable scar about him that
I know of         Given under my hand this 7th day of May 1850
                                                       Samuel Kerr

    Filed and recorded on the 7th day of May 1850 and a
certificate of freedom issued to the said negro Wilson Woodland

To the Clerk of Kent County Court
                               I hereby certify that a Negro Man named
Francis Chambers the bearer hereof who is now present and
applying for a certificate of Freedom was born free and
that he was raised in Kent County said Negro Man Francis
Chambers is now about twenty two years of age is about five
feet two and a half inches high and is of a dark complexion
                Given under my hand this 14th of May 1850
                                           Temperance Usilton
Francis Chambers is 5 feet 2½ inches high of a Dark complexion
and has a scar on his breast and a scar on the forefinger
of the left hand                              Jos Redue Clk 14th May 1850
Filed and recorded on the 14th of May 1850 and a certificate
of freedom issued to the said negro Francis Chambers
