of January in the year eighteen hundred and fifty did manumit
liberate set free and discharge from slavery a negro man named Henry
Hynson born on the twenty ninth day of January in the year Eighteen
hundred and ten      I further certify that a Negro Man now present
(the bearer hereof) called and known by the name of Henry Hynson
aged about forty years five feet 9¾ inches high of a Dark complexion
and has a small scar under the right ear has proved by testimony
which is satisfactory to me that he is the identical person mentioned and
described by the name of Henry Hynson in the Deed of Manumission above
referred to and that he was raised in Kent County
(  seal of             )         In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my name and
(Kent County     )         affix the seal of Kent County Court this Twenty ninth
(Court Maryland)         day of January in the year Eighteen hundred and

                         This is to certify that James William Dorman who is
now present & applying for a certificate of Freedom was free born
and raised in Kent County and is now twenty four years of age
January 2nd 1850                                    John Greenwood of W.m

Filed and recorded on the 2nd of January 1850 and certificate of
freedom issued as follows
    Maryland Kent County sct
                      I Joseph Redue Clerk of Kent County Court hereby
certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved
by testimony which is satisfactory to me that the bearer hereof a Mulatto Man
named James William Dorman aged about twenty four years five feet eight inches
high of a light yellow complexion with a scar on the end of the middle
finger of the left hand was born free and raised in Kent County
(  seal of             )         In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my name and affix the
(Kent County     )         seal of Kent County Court this second day of January in the year
(Court Maryland)         Eighteen hundred and fifty               Joseph Redue Clerk of Kent County Court Maryland
