25 on the thirty first day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and forty nine did manumit liberate set free and discharge from slavery a negro man named Hemsley Emory born on the thirty first day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and fourteen I further certify that a negro man now present (the bearer hereof) called and known by the name of Hemsley Emory aged about thirty five years five feet ten inches high of a Black complexion and has a small scar on the right side of his face has proved by testimony which is satisfactory to me that he is the identical person mentioned and described by the name of Hemsley Emory in the Deed of Manumission above referred to and that he was raised in Kent County ( seal of ) In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my name and (Kent County ) affix the seal of Kent County Court this twenty sixth (Court Maryland) day of January in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty Joseph Redue Clerk of Kent County Court state of Maryland Issued and Recorded on the 26th Day of January 1850 By Joseph Redue Clk To the Clerk of Kent County Court I hereby certify that a negro man named Henry Hynson now present is the identical negro man who was sold by me to Ann Hynson Jn and by the said Ann Hynson this day manumitted by Deed of Manumission The said Henry Hynson is about forty years old about five feet nine and three quarters inches high and is of a dark complexion George B Westcott January 29th 1850 Henry Has a small scar under the right ear Jose Redue Clk Filed and recorded January 29th 1850 and certificate of Freedom issued as follows State of Maryland Kent County sc I Joseph Redue Clerk of Kent County Court hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it appears by the records of Kent County aforesaid that a certain Ann Hynson of the said County b her certain Deed of Manumission bearing date on the twenty ninth day |
