To the Clerk of Kent County Court
                               I hereby certify that Robert Alexander Wilson who
is now present and applying for a certificate of Freedom was born
free and raised in Kent County is now about twenty one years of
age and is of a light complexion   witness my hand this 27th December 1849

Filed and recorded December 27th 1849 and certificate of Freedom issued as follows

                   I Joseph Redue Clerk of Kent County Court hereby certify
to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved by
testimony which is satisfactory to me that the bearer here of a negro
mane named Robert Alexander Wilson aged about twenty one years
five feet 11½ inches high of a light complexion with a scar on his
left wrist just above the joint from a burn was born free and
raised in Kent County         In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe
(  seal of             )         My name and affix the seal of Kent County Court
(Kent County     )         this twenty seventh day of December in the year
(Court Maryland)         Eighteen hundred and forty nine

    To the Clerk of Kent County Court
                            This is to certify that Mary Jane who is now present
and applying for a certificate of freedom is the identical person
mentioned in a Deed of Manumission executed by me on this
twenty ninth day of December in the year Eighteen hundred and forty
nine and which is filed this day for record
