                                             in the year Eighteen hundred and forty nine

To the Clerk of Kent County Court
                         I hereby certify that a negro man
named Isaac Jones now present about twenty
one or twenty two years of age was born free
and raised in Kent County       Wm B Wilmer
                                         December 4th 1849

Filed and recorded December 4th 1849 and
certificate of freedom issued as follows
Maryland Kent County to wit
                I Joseph Redue Clerk of Kent County
Court hereby certify to all whom it doth or
may concern that it hath been proved by
testimony which is satisfactory to me that
the bearer hereof a negro man named Isaac
Jones aged about twenty one or twenty two
years five feet one and a quarter inches high
of a dark complexion was born free and
raised in Kent County
(  seal of             )         In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe
(Kent County     )         my name and affix the seal of
(Court Maryland)         Kent County Court this fourth day
                                    of December in the year Eighteen
                                    hundred and forty nine
