                                       October Eighteen hundred and forty nine

To the Clerk of Kent County Court
                         This is to certify that Anna Warren
woman of color was free born and was raised
in Kent County Maryland and was twenty four
years of age in October of the present year
                                           Benjamin Fiddiss
                                        November the 2nd 1849

Filed and recorded November 2nd 1849 and certificate
of freedom issued as follows
Maryland Kent County to wit
                I Joseph Redue Clerk of Kent County Court
hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern
that it hath been proved by testimony which is
satisfactory to me that the bearer hereof a negro
woman named Anna Warren aged about
twenty four years five feet 3½ inches high
of a light complexion was born free and
raised in Kent County
(  seal of             )         In testimony whereof I hereto subscribe
(Kent County     )         my name and affix the seal of Kent
(Court Maryland)         County Court this second day of
                                    November in the year Eighteen hundred
                                    and forty nine        Joseph Redue Clerk of
