George Sparkman
Somerset County ss.t    The Jurors for the right honourable
the Lord proprietary that now is for the body of
Somerset County af.d upon their Oath do present that
George Sparkman late of Somerset parish in the County af.d planter
the thirtieth day of October Anno Domini Seventeen hundred
thirty and five at the parish af.d in the County af.d within the
Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a Certain Henry Reynolds
in the peace of God and of the said Lord proprietary then and
there being with force and arms and Assault did make and him
the said Henry then and there did beat wound and evilly treat
so that of his life it was greatly despaired and other harms to
him then and there did to the Great damage of the same Henry
and against the peace of the same Lord proprietary that now is
his good rule and Government &.a
Test  Henry Reynolds         On the backside of the foregoing bill
of Indictment it was thus Endorsed Viz.t   Billa Vera Sam.ll Willson

       Thereupon Command was given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that
he should take the said George Sparkman if &.a to answer &.a and afterwards
to witt the Eighteenth day of November Ann: Dom: One thousand
Seven hundred and thirty five before the Justices of his Lordships County
Court of Somerset now here held at dividing Creek in ^and for^ the same County came
the aforesaid George Sparkman in his proper person according to a Certain
Recognizance by him and his Security before acknowledged and had
a hearing of the Indictment af.d who thereupon says that of the trespass
and assault af.d as by the Indictment af.d above upon him
Imposed he is Guilty thereof &.a         Whereupon all and Singular
the premisses being seen and by the Court fully Understood   It
is Considered that the aforesaid George Sparkman pay unto his Lordship
the right honourable the Lord proprietary for his fine by the Court
hereupon ^him^ Imposed for and by Occasion of the trespass and assault af.d
Whereof in form af.d he is Convict Six pence Current Money of Maryland
And that the said George Sparkman be taken to satisfie his said Lordship
of the fine af.d   Whereupon the said George Sparkman is ordered to
give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers ^their^ Fees due by
Occasion of the premisses aforesaid  Thereupon Robert Jenckins
Henry of Somerset County Gent present herein Court in his proper
person undertook for the said George Sparkman for to pay the
severall Officers Fees due upon the Indictment and recognizance af.d
by means of the premisses aforesaid &.a
