November Court
1735 (96) to give Security for the payment of the severall Officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses af.d upon the Indictment af.d thereupon a Certain John Handy of Somerset County Gent present herein Court in his proper person acknowledged himself indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in the sum of five pounds sterling of his body goods or Chattells lands or tenements to be made and levied to the use of the Officers of Somerset County Court that hath any right to any Fees upon the Indictment af.d &.a If it happen that the said John Handy do not pay and satisfie unto the Severall Officers their Fees due by Occasion of the premisses af.d upon the Indictment af.d &.a Likewise the said Stephen Lank is ordered to give good Security to save and keep Endempnified the Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors for the time being from all Costs Charges troubles and burthens that might accrew by means of the birth &a of the bastard Child af.d lately begot on the body of the afd Francis Johnson &a Thereupon a Certain George Lank of Somerset County planter present herein Court in his proper person undertook for the said Stephen Lank and acknowledged himself indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary in the sum of thirty pounds Sterling of his goods and Chattells lands and tenements Severally to be made and levied to the use of Somerset County if it happen that the aforesaid Stephen Lank his heirs Executors and Administrators or any of them do and shall not from time to time and at all times forever hereafter acquitt discharge and save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors (for the time being) as also the Inhabitants of the same County from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintainance nourishing and bringing up of the said Child and of and from all other suits Charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the same &a
