(92) petition of William Duett sheweth that whereas your petitioner is lawfully possessed in his demesne as of Fee of in & unto a Certain tract or pcell of Marsh called little worth containing One hundred Acres Scituate in little Annamessex hundred in Somersett County w.ch s.d land is Surrounded by y.e lands of John Summers who refuses to allow your petitioner liberty to drive through his land for pasturing his creatures upon the s.d Marsh Your petitioner therefore humbly prays your worships will be pleased to order some pson or psons to appoint & direct a bridle road to be laid out that your petitioner may have the liberty of passing & repassing with his creatures to the s.d Marsh for the benifitt of pasturage and as in duty bound he shall pray &.a Wm Duett the petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that Thomas Williams of Somerset County Gent go and Lay out a bridle Road for the said William Duett thro' the Lands or Marsh or both for the said of John Sumers for the Carrying of his Creatures backwards and forwards from ^and to^ the Marsh afd Called Littleworth &a
whos boundaries are in a decaying Condition therefore your petitioner humbly prays your worships will be pleased to appoint Commissioners in order to Examine Evidences in relation to the boundaries of the same Land and he as in duty bound will pray &.a Jn.o Fleming The petition af.d being read and heard and fully understood and Mature deliberation thereupon had wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that a Commission Issue to the af.d John Fleming as by the petition aforesaid is praid and that John Scott, Francis Allen, John Lane and John Sheldon all of Somerset County Gent be Commissioners and Execute the same Commission according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided &.a Ordered that M.rs Alice Ellis be allowed two thousand six hundred and Sixty Seven pounds of tobacco her part for keeping of Ferry over Wickacomoco River near white haven Town it being adjudged full Satisfaction for her for keeping ferry at the place afd she ^first^ having Obtained his Lordship Licence for the same &a |
