Maryland for ever year he shall keep such Ordinary or house of Entertainment &a

Likewise the said James Lindow with William Stoughton and Samuel Wilson
of Somerset County Gentlemen his Securitys all present herein Court as af.d
Acknowledged themselves indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary
as af.d in the sum of Forty pounds Curr.t Money of Maryland of their goods
and Chattells lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and
levied to the use of his said Lordship his heirs and successors          If it
happen that the said James Lindow do not keep good rules and orders and do
suffer Idle loose or disorderly persons to tipple game or Committ other
disorders or Irregularities in his ordinary or house of Entertainment
during the time that he shall keep the same Contrary to the true Intent
& meaning of the act of assembly in such Case made & provided &.a

            To the worshipfull Justices of Somerset County now Sitting
the humble petition of Thomas Shiles of Somerset
County humbly Sheweth that whereas a Certain part of a
road under the Care of James Trane to the great prejudice of your petitioner
goes through Such part of his your petitioners land as renders him
Uncapable of Tending & useing the same in Such manner as would to
your petitioner prove most Advantageous wherefore your petitioner
most humbly prays an order from this honourable Court to turn
such part of the road afs.d which according to your petitioners request
will not be above fifty yards further than said Road at p.rsent is and
your petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray

             the petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood and mature deliberation thereupon
had   Wherefore it is Considered that Cap.t John Handy and M.r Mitchell Dashiell if they think
proper that the Said Road be turned or altered that then they the Said John Handy and Mitchell
Dashiell Lay out for the said Thomas Shiles and order which way the said Road shall goe and if they do
not think proper for the turning or altering of the said Road as aforesaid petitioned for that then the same to
remain as it now is and unaltered and they the said John Handy and Mitchell Dashiell to make their report to ^next^ shew
Court to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of March &a

worships pleases that I may be sett tax free for I am ^a^ very lame
man and not able to come to Court for I am upwards of Sixty years
of age and has no land nor living of my own and am not able to
pay my Levies I have been Executed for the same by the late Sheriff
