87 Seventy Years of age and Scarcely able to do any labour and hath Lost the Use of one of his Leggs that he is not able to walk at some times Your petitioner prays that your worships will set him tax free and your petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray William Cox The petition aforesaid being read and heard and fully understood wherefore it is Considered that the aforesaid William Cox be discharged from paying of Levys for the afd negro Jonas as by the petition afd is praid &.a
the case and Conveniency of ^the Inhabitants^ travellers and strangers as to them respectively shall seem mete which is by the Court here granted unto him he giving ^good^ Security according to act of assembly in Such Case made and provided &a Whereupon the said John Follows with George Denwood ^in his security^ of Somerset County Gent present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary of the province of Maryland ^&a^ in the Sum of five pounds Currt money of said province of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors if it happen that the said John Follows do (and shall) not pay unto his said Lordship the sum of Fifty shillings Currant money of Maryland Yearly and every Year he shall keep such ordinary or house of Entertainment as afd &a Likewise the said John Follows and George Denwood his security both present here in Court as aforesaid acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Right honourable the Lord Proprietary of the province of Maryland in the Sum of Forty pounds Curr.t money of Maryland of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors if it happen that the Said John Follows do not keep good Rules and orders and do not suffer Idle Loos and disorderly persons to tipple game or Committ other disorders or Irregularities in his ordinary or hous of Entertainment during the time he Shall keep the Same Contrary to the true Intent and meaning of the act of assembly in such Case made and provided &a
