62 severall goods and Chattles Lands and tenements to the use of his said Lordship his heirs & Successors ^to be made & Levied^ if it happen that the said Patrick Kersie do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek the third tuesday of November Next and doe not answer unto his Lordship of and Concerning such things as shall be then & there objected against him on his Lordships behalfe & do not Stand & abide the Judgment of the Court thereon and do not depart the Same Court without Leave and in the mean time if he is not of the good behaviour towards his said Lordship and all his good people then &a
afd during which term the said James Mills the Younger his said Master well and faithfully shall Serve his secretts Keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly ^he^ shall do and in all things as a good & faithfull apprentice shall demean himself towards his said Master and all his during the term aforesaid &a In consideration of which service the said Thomas Wise present herein Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of Somerset County Court in manner and form following that is to say that he the said Thomas Wise during the term afd ^shall^ Learn his said apprentice the trades of a Cordwainer and tanner and to read well in the bible and to write and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a new suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and a sett of Cordwainers Tooles and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing and Lodging and Cloathing mete for him to have & wear during the term afd &a thereupon the said Thomas Wise is ordered to give Security for to Comply the Covenants afd &a Whereupon the said Thomas Wise with James Martin of Somerset County Gent ^both^ present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said James Mills the Younger in the sum of Twenty pounds Sterling Each of their Severall goods and Chattells Lands and tenements to the Use of the Said James Mills the Younger his heirs and assignes to be made and Levied &a If it happen that the said Thomas Wise doe not during the term afd Learn his said apprentice the trades of a Cordwainer ^and tanner^ and to read well in the bible and to write and at the Expiration of his Servitude do not give him a new Suit of Cloaths over & above his Common wearing Cloaths and a sett of Cordwainers tooles and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for such an apprentice to have & wearing the term afd &a Francis Aynes a poor aged infirm person is adjudged by the Court here to be tax free for the future as is requested &a The Reverend Paul Palmer a dissenting Baptist minister Came here into Court in his proper person & prays that he may be admitted to preach and teach the Severall Congregations that shall Come to hear him in |
