William Lane, Thomas Williams, Henry Ballard, David Willson, Edward
Rownd, Charles Ratcliff, George Dashiell, Thomas Gilliss, Isaac Handy and
Mitchell Dashiell and none others to be Judges also by these presents We do
Command the sheriff of our said County of Somerset that at the severall
Courts to be held for our said County he give his attendance & Cause to Come before
you or any three or more of you as af.d such & so many Good and Lawfull men of
his bailywick out of Each & Every hundred thereof by whom the truth of the
matter in the premises may be the better known & Enquired of Lastly you
Cause to be brought before you at your said Courts all writts precepts process
& Indictments to your Courts & Jurisdictions belonging that the same may be
Inspected & by due Course of Law determined  Wittness our trusty & well beloved
Samuel Ogle Esqr Lieutenant General & Chief Governour of our
said province of Maryland this sixteenth day of July in the 21.st year of
our Dominion &.c  Annoq Dom 1735

                                  On the backside of the foregoing Commission it was Endorsed as Followeth
Sam: Ogle            viz.t    Maryland ss.t   Charles absolute Lord Proprietary of
the provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Balt &.c  To Richard Tilghman
Mathew Tilghman Ward, John Rousby, Benj.a Tasker, Philip Lee & John Rider
Esq.rs & John Smith Balt hundred, William Stoughton, John Handy, James Dashiell,
John Scott, James Martin, William Lane, Thomas Williams & Henry Ballard
of Somerset County Gentl  Greeting we do ^hereby^ authorize & Impower you or Either of
you to administer the severall oaths appointed by act of assembly as also the oath
of Judge or Justice to John Hall, Mich.l Howard, George Plater, Edm.d Jennings
& Charles Hammond Esq.rs & Robert King, David Wilson, Edw.d Rownd, Charles Ratcliff
George Dashiell, Thomas Gilliss, Isaac Handy & Mitchell Dashiell of the same
county Gentl or any of them you the said John Hall, Mich.l Howard, Geo: Plater
Edm.d Jennings & Charles Hammond Esq.rs & Robert King, David Willson, Edw.d Rownd
Charles Ratcliff, George Dashiell, Thomas Gilliss, Isaac Handy & Mitchel Dashiell
or any of you having taken the said Oaths are hereby Impowered to Administer
the same to ye Justices & Commissioners Respectively as they are nominated in
the within Commission & we will that you & every of you having taken the said
Oaths do severally subscribe the Test & Oath of Abjuration & for so doing this
Shall be your sufficient warrant and authority hereof fail not & when you have
the same so done you are to Certifie the same under your hands & seals to us
in our high Court of Chancery with all Convenient Speed  Witness our Trusty
and well beloved Samuel Ogle Esq.r lieutenant Gen.l & Chief Governour
