(45) eleven pence Nevertheless as to Six pounds ten shillings and one half penny the Residue his promise and assumption af.d nothing regarding but minding and fraudulently intending the same John in that part craftily and Subtily to deceive and defraud the af.d Six pounds ten shillings and one half penny or any part thereof (altho to do the same on the first day of May in the Year Seventeen hundred & thirty three & often afterwards by the same John at the County af.d required hath not paid or him for the same in any sort contented but that unto him to pay hitherto altogether hath refused and still doth refuse to the damage of the same John twelve pounds Current money and thereof he brings Suit &.c Pledges &.c John Doe R.d Roe
Thereupon the aforesaid William Jones present herein Court in his proper person is adjudged by the ^same^ Court here (at the prayer of the aforesaid John Rider by his attorney aforesaid) to give speciall bail to the action aforesaid but for want thereof the said William Jones is Committed into the Custody of the Sheriff of Somerset County thereto remain the said Sheriff to witt Joseph MccClester Gent present herein Court took Charge of the Said William Jones accordingly &c And whereupon the said William Jones in Custody as aforesaid by George Douglas his attorney Cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &.c and prayes Leave thereof to Imparle hereuntill next Court and he hath it and the same day is Given to the afd John here also &c Att which said next Court to witt the Eighteenth day of march ann Dom One thousand seven hundred & thirty four Came againe as well the afd John Rider as the afd William Jones by their attorneys aforesd and |
