same County afd one Gray gelding being the proper goods and Chattells of a Certain Robert Collier with force and arms unlawfully did taken and Imprison and the same Gelding so as afd Imprisoned being with force and arms did disfigure and from the tail of the same Gelding then and there the Hair thereof did with force and arms unlawfully cut of to the great damage of the said Robert Collier and against the peace of the Right Honourable the Lord proprietary his good Rule and Government &c This bill of Indictment sent up to the grand Jury by order of Court Test Thos Hayward Cl Testes William Kitchen John Scarbrough Joseph MccClester Francis Allen Jun Robt Geddes Teague Riggin Peter Taylor Jurant On the foregoeing Bill it was Endorsed Ignoramus Jno Scott Foreman
and Arms the store house of William Murrah of the County afd Merchant at Stepney parish in the County afd Feloniously did Break and enter and three pinsts of rum of the value of two shillings Curr.t money of the province of Maryland of the goods and Chattles of Henry Dixon and John Mathews both of the Island of Anteague Merchants in the said store house of the said W.m Murrah then and there being found then and there feloniously did steal take and Carry away against the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Goverment and Contrary to the form of the Act of assembly in such case lately made and provided &c Testes Levin Gale Esq.r John Handy William Murray Joshua Knight Alexd Hunter Jurant On the foregoing Bill it was Endorsed vizt Ignoramus John Scott foreman And afterwards to witt the twenty first day of December Ann Dom One thousand Seven hundred and thirty Six before the His Lordships Justices of Oyer and terminer and Goal deliver for Somerset County at Dividing Creek Came the Said Francis White and John Lorwell in their proper persons under Custody of Joseph McClester Sheriff of the County afd into whose Custody before that time for the Cause afd was Committed and [illegible] the said Sheriff Ledd to the Barr &c Thereupon at the Command of the Justices afd the afd Francis White and John Lorwell are discharged from Custody of the Sheriffe afd and remanded Back into their Masters Service to witt |
