absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of
Baltemore &.c  To our trusty and well beloved Levin Gale Esq.r Robert King Wm Stoughton
and Geo Dashiell Gentelmen Greeting know ye that we have Constituted you or any three
of you our Justices to deliver our Goal of our County of Somerset for this turn of the prisoners
in the same being and thereof we Command you or any three of you that on a Certain
day which you or any of you shall appoint your any three of you take Come and
meet at the Court house in the County afd to deliver that Goal doing therein what ^to^ Justice
appertains  According to the laws Customs and directions of the Acts of assembly of this
province so far forth as they provide and where they are Silent According to the Laws
statutes and Reasonable Customs of England as used and practiced within this province
saving to us our Aerciaments and other Regards to us belonging for we hereby Command our
sheriff of Somerset County afd that at such Certain days as you or any three of you shall
shall make known unto him he thereof^fore^ Cause to Come before you all the prisoners of the
said Goal and their Attachments in testimony whereof we have Caused these our Letters
to be made pattent Wittness our trust and well beloved Samuel Ogle Esqr
Lieuetenant Generall and Chief Governer of our said province of Maryland this 26th
day of October in the 22d Year of our Dominion &c  Annoq Dom 1736

       Which being read and heard  thereupon Levin Gale Esq.r pursuant to the
dedimus top him directed administred the Severall Oaths appointed by act of assembly
to be taken to the Government and the accustomed ^oath^ of Justice to Rob.t King and Wm
Stoughton Gent who Severally take the Same and Subscribe the Oath of Abjuration &
test  And afterwards the Same Robert King and Wm Stoughton Gent administred
the Same Oaths to Levin Gale Esq.r and George Dashiell Gent who severally take
the Same and Subscribe the Oath of Abjuration and test and they all take their
places on the bench as followeth viz.t

       Whereupon the Court being sett Levin Gale Esqr administred the Severall Oaths appointed
