302 the premisses and that you or any three of you hear and determine all and Singular the premisses and act & fullfill in manner afd doing there in what to Justice appertaines according to the Laws Customs and directions of the acts of assembly of this province so far forth as they provide and where they are Silent according to the Laws Statutes & reasonable Customs of England as used and Practice within this province Saving to us our Amerciaments and other regards to us belonging for We hereby Command Our Sheriffe of our County afd that at Certain days and places ^which^ you shall make known unto him he Cause to Come before you such and so many good and Lawfull men of his bailywick as well within the Liberties as without by whom the truth of the matter may be the Better known and Enquired into and we do hereby Constitute ordain and appoint Thomas Hayward of the County of Somerset Gent to be Our Clerk and to make due Enteries of ^all^ your proceedings therein and act and do in all things relating to the premisses as any other Clerk of Such Court hath or ought to doe with the accustomes ^benefitts &^ profitts thereof and further we do appoint John Sheldon of the County of Somerset to be your Cryer for this Occasion Impowering him to have and receive the Same Fees profitts perquisites as any Other Cryer for the Like Service heretofore hath had In Testimony whereof we have Caused these our Letters to be made pattent Wittness Our trusty and Well beloved Samuel Ogle Esqr Lieutenant General & Chief Governour of Our said province of Maryland this 26th day of October in the 22.d Year of Our Dominion &.a annoq Domini 1736 (Great) (Seal) Sam: Ogle On the foregoing Commission it was Endorsed as followeth vizt Maryland sst Charles absolute Lord and proprietary of the provinces of Maryland and avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c To Levin Gale Esq.r and Geo: Dashiell Gent Greeting We do hereby Authorize and Impower you or one of you to Administer the Oaths appointed to be taken by Act of assembly of this province to the Goverment as also the oath of Judge or Justice to the within mentioned Robert King & Wm Stoughton Gent and we will that you the said Robert King and W.m Stoughton Gen.ts or one of you having taken the said Oaths are hereby Impowered to administer the same to the Justices and Commissioners respectively as they are nominated in the within Commission and we will that you having taken the said severall Oaths do severally Subscribe the test and oath of abjuration and for your so doing this shall be your sufficient warrent and Authority hereof fail not and when you have the same so done you are to Certifie the same under your hands and seals to us in our High Court of Chancery with all Convenient speed Wittness our trusty and well beloved Samuel Ogle Esq.r Lieutenant Genll and Chief Governer of our said province of Maryland this 26 day of October In the 22.d Year of our Dominion &.c Annoq Dom 1736 (Seal) Sam: Ogle The Commission of Goal delivery followeth in these words viz.t Maryland ss Charles absolute |
