1736 292 by the Court here that the afd James Jones pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for his fine for and by occasion of the premisses afd Twenty Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland &c William Dixon of Somerset County planter Came hereinto Court in his proper person according to a Certain Writt of attachment against him Issued for not appearing before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset he being Legally Sumoned thereto for not burning of tobacco according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided and forasmuch as the said William Dixon hath nothing to Object that was Materiall but was willing to pay his fine for the same &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the said W.m Dixon pay unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary for his fine for and by occasion of the premisses afd twenty Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland &c wherefore the said William Dixon is ordered to give security for the payment of the severall Officers Fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain Stephen Horsey of Somerset County Gent undertook for the said W.m Dixon to pay the severall Officers Fees due as afd &c Grace Webb of somerset County widdow Came hereinto Court in her proper person according to a Certain writt of attachment against her Issued for not appearing before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset she being Legally Sumoned thereto for not burning of tobacco according to act of assembly in such Case made and provided and for as much as the said Grace Webb hath nothing to object that was materiall but was willing to pay her fine for the same &c Wherefore it is Considered by the court here that the said Grace Webb pay unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary for his fine for and by Occasion of the premisses afd Twenty shill.s Curr.t money of Maryland &c Littleton Townsend present here in Court undertakes for the said Grace Webb to pay the Severall Officers Fees due by occasion of the premisses afd &c Cuthbert Russell Late of Somerset County planter being Sumoned to appear at this Court to answer his not burning tobacco according to Law in such Case made and provided &c and foras much as the said Cuthbert Russell hath not burnt so much tobacco as by Law he was obliged to burn &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Cuthbert Russell pay unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary for his fine for and by occasion of the premisses afd Twenty Shillings Curr.t money of Maryland &c Wherefore the said Cuthbert Russell is ordered to give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by means of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain Jeffry King was present here in Court undertakes for the said Cuthbert Russell to pay the [illegible] |
