abovesaid Stump was one of their bounders which was told him about twenty Years ago or there
abouts to the best of his knowledge and further this deponant saith not the above mentioned stump
stands on a point Commonly known by the name of gum point on the westermost side of
mudy hole Creek about thirty yards to the east ward of a marked pine which pine is the
division betwen a peice of Land formerly belonging to Coll Charles Ballard dec.d and W.m
Right dec.d by which stump we have thought fit to place a Cedar post marked with
sixteen notches vizt on each quarter four notches and four notches unto which the
deponant hath set his hand this 28.th day of Feb.r 1736            his

The deposition of Alice Hickman Daughter of William Right Senr decd
she this deponant aged fifty four years or their abouts being sworn on the Holy evangelist
of almighty God saith ^that^ about thirty eight years ago Thomas Shiles now decd Got Coll Whittington
now decd to Run out a tract of parcell of Land then belonging to his brother John Shiles
now decd and this deponant declaireth that as he was at work in the feild with her father
they saw a Companey of people Coming upon which this deponants father and she this
deponant went to meet them in order to hear their discourse for her father Extended to
foreward the above said Shiles and Coll Whittington from Coming on his Land and the deponant
saith she heard Coll Whittington tell her father not to be afraid for Shiles Could not
hurt him for that his Line Ended here and he believed if the Chain Carryers had been Sworn they
would hardly have come soe farr upon which they agreed to set up a Artificiall bounder which
post or Bounder she all ways heard her father say was deemed to be Shiles bounder and so
continued during her fathers Life which post or place is to the Southward of William Nelsons
house near a small Gutt or Creek Called hole Creek alias Wrights Creek on which place by direction
of the deponant we have thought fit to set up a Ceader post marked as the first and further
this deponant saith that from this post they went a Cross the gutt and marked a gum and from
that Gum to a beach which they Likewise marked as she heard her father say and further this
deponant sayth not in Testimony whereof she hath hereunto set her hand this 7.th day of June

                               By vertue of the above Commission we do Certifie that we have met on the said
Lands and taken the Severall depositions in relation to the Boundarys of the said Land Called
Wrights Choice and Wrights adventure in Wittness whereof we have set our hands and seales
