268 it was Endorsed as followeth vizt Ignoramus p William Jones foreman And afterwards in the Same Court to witt the sixteenth day of November anno Dom one thousand Seven hundred and thirty Six Came the said Rebecca Obryan in her proper person according to a Certain Recognizance by her and her security before acknowledged and prays that her appearance may be recorded and she and her Security discharged from the Same recognizance Thereupon the said Rebecca Obryan's appearance is recorded and she and her security is accordingly discharged &a Whereupon the said Rebecca Obryan is ordered to give Security for the payment of the Severall Officers Fees due by means of the premisses afd thereupon a Certain Joshua Caldwell of Somerset County planter present herein Court in his proper person acknowledged himselfe Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Proprietary in One thousand pounds of tob.o to be Levied on his body goods and Chattells Lands and Tenements to the Use of the Severall Officers that hath a right to any fees in the premisses afd &a If it Happen that the Said Rebecca Obryan do not pay the Same fees as afd &a Thomas Fletcher appears according to his recognizance Entered into Last Court to give Evidence against Rebecca Obryan and is accordingly discharged &a John Redding appears according to his Recognizance Entered into for his good behaviour and appearance at this Court and he and his Security is accordingly discharged thereupon the said John Redding is ordered to give security for the payment of the severall officers their fees due by means of the premisses afd Whereupon Joshua Caldwell of Somerset County planter present herein Court undertook for the said John Redding for to pay the Severall Officers Fees due as afd &a
at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a certain Thomas Hargis of the same County planter in the peace of God and of the said Lord proprietary then and there being with force and arms an assault did make and the same Thomas then and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his life it was much despaired and other harms to him then and there did to the great damage of the same Thomas and against the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and Government &c Test |
