267 Goldsborough Gent who for his said Lordship in that part followeth Likewise And thereupon afterwards to witt the same day and Year Last mentioned Came hereinto Court the same William Goldsborough his Lordships attorney and who for his said Lordship in that part followeth and saith here in Court that he will noe further prosecute against the said Sarah Staples in the premisses afd in the Indictm.t afd Mentioned &a Therefore it is Considered that the afd Sarah Staples of the premisses afd in the Indictment afd mentioned be quiet and goe thereof without day &a Whereupon the said Sarah Staples is ordered to give security for to save and keep Endempnified the Justices of Somerset County Court and their Successors for the time being from all Costs Charges Troubles and burthens that might accrew by meanes of the Birth of the Child afd &a Thereupon the said Sarah Staples with Francis Porter and Littleton Townsend all of Somerset County planters present herein Court acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his said Lordship the Lord Proprietary in the Sum of Twenty pounds Sterling good and Lawfull money of England of the bodys Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied if it Iss to the Use of Somerset County If it happen that the said Sarah Staples her heirs Executors & adm.rs or any of them do and Shall not from time to time and at all times forever hereafter acquitt discharge and save harmless as well the Justices of Somerset County Court for the time being and their Successors as also the Inhabitants of the Same County from all Costs Charges and troubles whatsoever for or by reason of the Birth maintainance nourishing and Bringing up of the afd Child and of and from all other Suits Costs Charges Burthens troubles and demands whatsoever touching or Concerning of the Same &a Likewise the said Sarah Staples with the afd Francis Porter and Littleton Townsend her Securitys all present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship &a in the Sum of One thousand Seven hundred pounds to be Levied &a In case the Said Sarah Staples do not pay unto the severall officers their fees due by Occasion of the premisses afd upon the Indictment afd &a
six with force and arms at the Parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court one white Linnen Shift of the Value of fifty pounds of tobacco of the goods and Chattells of the Revd Thomas Fletcher then and there being found then and there feloniously did steal take and bear away contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his good rule and government and against the form of the act of assembly in such Case made and provided &c Test Ann Edds Thomas Fletcher On the foregoing Bill of Indictment it |
